Directed by John Korty | 1983

Korty’s wildly imaginative animation cult classic—executive produced by George Lucas—uses a kaleidoscopic technique called Lumage to tell the trippy tale of Ralph, The All-Purpose Animal (Lorenzo Music, voice of Garfield) and his mime friend, who must save the world from a plague of bad dreams. Among the delirious delights: a robotic gorilla with a television head (it plays clips from Happy Days). The film also marks an early collaboration with a young David Fincher, who provided invaluable contributions in the camera room.
