“the visual poet laureate of the Internet age”
—Los Angeles Times

Frances Stark has been acclaimed for an artistic practice in which she has mined both the analog and virtual dimensions of her own life. Her multidisciplinary body of work over the past two decades comprises collage, painting, video, essays, and performance, all of which are united by Stark’s particular brand of startling intimacy. For opening night of Migrating Forms, this program presents a selection of Stark’s video work, including decades of lo-fi cat videos and an animated chronicle of the artist’s sexual rendezvous on Chatroulette. The program includes Osservate, leggete con me, [THIS IS NOT EXACTLY A CAT VIDEO] w/ David Bowie's "Star Man", etc, and selections from Poets on the Pyre and CAT VIDEOS.
