BAMcinématek welcomes the return Black List Live!, featuring a live reading of Harry Tarre’s Captain Infinity. When Oscar Ruiz learns that his comic book-obsessed five-year-old brother has been diagnosed with cancer, he attempts to shield him from the truth by convincing him that his treatment is all part of a top secret program to become a superhero.

Founded in 2005 by Franklin Leonard, the Black List is an annual survey of Hollywood executives' favorite unproduced screenplays. Over 300 Black List screenplays have been made into feature films, and 51 have won Academy Awards, including Best Picture winners Slumdog Millionaire, The King’s Speech, and Spotlight.
