Directed by Alain Resnais | 2012

With Sabine Azéma, Anne Consigny, Pierre Arditi

Nearing 90, the boundary-pushing director of Last Year at Marienbad and Hiroshima mon amour continued to startle, here creating a sly and surprising play-within-a-play-within-a-movie puzzle box. The setup finds three generations of thespians enacting three dueling versions of modernist playwright Jean Anouilh’s Eurydice. The result is a bewitching and oddly touching ode to the art of acting.
