Directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi | 2017

Mary is a young girl stuck in the country with no adventures or friends in sight. After following a mysterious cat into a nearby forest, she discovers an old broomstick and the strange Fly-by-Night flower (a rare plant that only blossoms once every seven years in that very forest). Together, the flower and broomstick whisk Mary above the clouds and far away to a school of magic.

From Academy Award -nominated animator Hiromasa Yonebayashi (Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo) comes this dazzling new adventure about a young girl trying to find her place in the world. Based on Mary Stewart’s 1971 children’s classic The Little Broomstick, it features imaginative worlds, ingenious characters, and a stirring, heartfelt emotional core.
