Directed by Robert Downey Sr. | 1969

With Arnold Johnson, Laura Greene, Buddy Butler

Robert Downey Sr.’s gag-a-minute gonzo comedy is a wildly irreverent time machine back to a decidedly un-PC past. It charts the chaos that ensues when Putney Swope (Arnold Johnson, his voice dubbed by the director), the sole black exec at a Madison Ave. ad agency, becomes chairman of the board, replaces all the white employees with black militants, and achieves dizzying success peddling products like Face Off Pimple Cream and Ethereal Cereal.

9:15: Intro by K Austin Collins, film critic, Vanity Fair
