Sighted Eyes/Feeling Heart: Lorraine Hansberry
- 7PM
While best known as the author of the landmark play A Raisin in the Sun, Lorraine Hansberry was also an outspoken feminist, communist, activist, intellectual, and lesbian. Through revealing archival footage and interviews with Hansberry's colleagues and friends—including Ruby Dee, Sidney Poitier, Harry Belafonte, and Louis Gossett, Jr.—this poignant documentary sheds new light on the life of a trailblazing black woman who was both of her time and ahead of it.
