Animation Block Party
Experience the world's best independent animation as the 17th annual Animation Block Party goes digital. This three-day festival of animated shorts and virtual after-parties includes live animated comedy; films for kids; experimental shorts and music videos; and programs spotlighting East Coast, indie, international, and student filmmakers.
All programs are free with a suggested donation to either Black Lives Matter of Greater NY or City Harvest for Covid-19 support.

Animation Block Opening Night Party featuring Picture This

The 17th annual Animation Block Party begins with Picture This, a live animated comedy show streamed via Zoom from the Littlefield NYC Virtual Stage. The event features award-winning animators paired with exceptional comedic talent, telling jokes as they’re animated live on Zoom.
Saturday Night Virtual After Party with Cartoons On Film

Film archivist and historian Tommy Stathes curates a live 16mm tele-stream from his distribution label Cartoons On Film, which features exclusive releases of rare early animated films. This virtual party spotlights visually stimulating, sometimes surreal, New York-themed shorts from some of the most iconic New York studios of the early 20th century.
