The sole film directed by writer-producer-star James Bond III is part buddy comedy, part stylish neon-soaked horror fever dream in which two childhood friends reunite in New York only to find themselves tangling with a seductive, man-eating succubus. Among the pleasures of this unsung 90s indie gem: atmospheric cinematography by regular Spike Lee DP Ernest Dickerson, an early performance by Samuel L. Jackson, and a memorable bit of grisly business involving a demonic Ronald Reagan and a killer TV.
