No Place Like Home
Closed Caption, Descriptive Video
The follow-up to Perry Henzell’s touchstone classic The Harder They Come got stalled in production in 1975, nearly becoming a lost film until it was rediscovered 30 years later. A politically conscious, reggae-infused journey through rural Jamaica, No Place Like Home exudes an easygoing charm as it traces the relationship that develops between an American commercial producer and a local taxi driver who shows her a side of the island far removed from the typical tourist track. Look out for an appearance from a pre-superstardom Grace Jones. US premiere!
