Part of Film 2019 series NYC Horror
Directed by George P. Cosmatos | 1983

With Peter Weller, Jennifer Dale, Lawrence Dane

“If it doesn't scare you to death, it will find another way.” In this all-too-relatable slice of NYC terror, future RoboCop Peter Weller plays a Wall Street yuppie whose carefully manicured life is turned upside down when he discovers an unwanted guest living in his renovated brownstone: a pesky, highly-evolved rat that won’t go without a fight. Though actually filmed in Montreal, Of Unknown Origin manages to evoke the gritty, survival-of-the-fittest “rat race” of life in 1980s New York.
