Starting from a 1934 talent contest at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, acclaimed documentary filmmaker Leslie Woodhead traces the passions and troubles of the times through Fitzgerald’s music and life over the course of five decades. Featuring interviews with Smokey Robinson, Tony Bennett, Jamie Cullum, Norma Miller, and Fitzgerald’s adopted son Ray Brown Jr., Ella Fitzgerald: Just One of Those Things brings to life the history of Ella’s unique career.
