Bronco Bullfrog
- 7PM
Barney Platts-Mills’ first feature was nearly lost forever before an archivist saved it from a trash pile. Now newly restored, Bronco Bullfrog follows a motley crew of hardened working class London teens residing in the East End. No stranger to petty theft, Del (Walker) befriends prison escapee Bronco Bullfrog (Shepherd) who wants to commit a robbery. But when Del falls in love with Irene (Gooding) the two attempt to outrun the law—and their parents. A subversive director committed to making the industry more accessible, Platts-Mills’ indie kitchen sink drama was largely improvised and cast with all non-actors to better capture the realism of the moment.
