John Lewis: Good Trouble
- 10AM
Until his passing on July 17, 2020, U.S. Representative John Lewis, widely known as the “conscience of the Congress,” called on his fellow Americans to get into “good trouble.” This documentary about his life and more than 60 years of extraordinary activism follows his journey as a teenager on the front lines of the Civil Rights movement through decades as a powerhouse legislator. A close ally of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Lewis organized Freedom Rides that left him bloodied or jailed and made history leading marches on Washington and Selma, Alabama. Along with this crucial history, the film also features Stacey Abrams, Cory Booker, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as upholders of the John Lewis spirit and legacy.
