The Four Adventures of Reinette and Mirabelle
- 8:45PM
Often considered “Éric Rohmer’s most underrated masterpiece” (The Nation), this newly restored feature from the French New Wave master follows the budding friendship of country-girl Reinette and city-girl Mirabelle who meet in a country lane. Bursting with Rohmer’s juicy language, the female-centric story unfolds in four chapters as it tracks the ups and downs of the women’s lives as they become roommates in 1980s Paris, chase the “blue hour” of twilight, and attempt to out-hustle a gallery owner, played by Rohmer favorite Fabrice Luchini.
