The Mountains Are a Dream That Call to Me
- 7PM
This gorgeous debut feature from local New York filmmaker Cedric Cheung-Lau offers a stunning visual journey through the mountains of Nepal, ideal for the big screen. Amidst sweeping vistas and towering heights, a young Nepali man heading toward new opportunities encounters an elderly Australian woman trekking alone. Their journeys unfold in a meditative interplay of shadows and light, sound and silence, individual reflection and shared experience of a transcendent space. Denied an initial theatrical release due to the pandemic, The Mountains Are a Dream That Call to Me comes to BAM for one night only.
