This animated short by Inuit artist, storyteller and co-director Germaine Arnattaujuq (Arnaktauyok) is an about Inuit creation stories from the Iglulik region in Nunavut: the raven who brings daylight to the world, the giants who turn into mountains, and the animals that create shimmering constellations and northern lights.

The film makes traditional knowledge accessible to younger generations by combining some of Arnattaujuq’s existing graphic art with animation and Inuktitut narration. Arctic Song not only shares Inuit knowledge in Inuktitut, but highlights the rich world of Inuit art that has always flourished in the Canadian Arctic and continues to delight international audiences.

Jay Jay Patton was only 13 when she designed and built Photo Patch, a mobile app to help kids send photos and letters to parents who are incarcerated, inspired by the difficulty she had communicating with her father while he was in prison. Jay Jay and her dad then founded Unlock Academy, a school that teaches coding and provides mentoring to enable young people of color to have careers in STEM fields.

This is a true story of drive, hope and ingenuity from Generation Impact, a new docu series that features teenage entrepreneurs using technology to break barriers and better their communities. The Coder is the first film in the series.

14-year-old Julieta lives on the Caribbean island of Curaçao and prefers to be under water rather than above. The wonderful, exciting world of the ocean feels like home to Julieta. The more time Julieta spends under water, the more she is confronted with large amounts of waste on the seabed and that makes her extremely mad. Together with other volunteers on Curaçao, Julieta rescues sea turtles in need and tries to improve their habitat. Her actions sometimes only feel like a drop in the ocean for Julieta. Staying positive and believing that you can create a better world and future is a difficult task.
