Music and lyrics by Nancy Harrow
Directed by Will Pomerantz

Adapted from the Newbery Award-winning children’s book by Elizabeth Coatsworth, this captivating performance introduces kids to the cultural traditions of Japan. Using breathtaking bunraku and shadow puppetry, and an original jazz score featuring shamisen and koto instrumentations, this inventive musical tells the story of an artist and his loyal cat in ancient Japan.
