Enjoy a carnival of fun activities throughout BAM during the 20th annual BAMkids Film Festival. BAMcafé and the Dorothy W. Levitt Lobby play host to a full jubilee for families, with virtual reality experiences, walkabout entertainers, and interactive games, plus live performances by local student dance teams MOVE(NYC) and the Fire Flame Steppers.

Festival activities take place from 10am to 3pm.

Witness a sea serpent ripple through the air or a Tyrannosaurus rex bound past the Opera House doors with master puppeteer Tarish “Jeghetto” Pipkins and his signature-style hybrid puppets.

Emi Jingu

Emi Jingu is a Japan-based fashion designer specializing in original balloon couture for p0p0 balloon. Her original balloon dresses have garnered awards from US and international balloon competitions. In celebration of the 20th annual BAMkids Film Festival, Emi will create two dresses that evoke the color, culture, and spirit of the festival, which has consistently featured balloons as part of the overall experience. The dresses will be worn by performers who engage with audience members in various spaces throughout the weekend.
