Discover the power—and fun—of hip-hop in this playful pre-show workshop for budding emcees and their families. Through games and dynamic demonstrations, performance poet and BAM teaching artist Jashua Sa-Ra introduces the rhythmic, poetic, and performance skills that make a great emcee.
Following the workshop, see hip-hop artist Dumi Right take the stage at BAM’s annual family-friendly spoken word showcase, an event certain to make the whole house get up, stand up, and get inspired!
