Uncle Jumbo is a Grammy-nominated, Houston-based performing and recording artist for children. His lively rhythmic sound focuses on joy, connection, kindness, and wellbeing through lyrical themes of unity, self-love, and nature. Jumbo is on a mission to make families feel closer by providing musical grooves that can be enjoyed together by all, from the infants to the elders.
DJTonyMonkey, aka Antonio Brown, is the dance party prince. Born and raised in Cleveland, he found his love for music at a young age and built his collection of music over the years while majoring in dance at the Juilliard School. He mixes and spins anything from top 100 to classical, and everything in between. He has played at BAM, Freehold Brooklyn, Le Poisson Rouge, Mana Contemporary Art Museum, New York Live Arts, and many more venues in New York and around the world.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Farai Malianga studied African dance and drum with pioneers Yousouf Koumbasa, Mbemba Bangoura, and Ronald K. Brown, and has performed with Chuck Davis, Reginald Yates, Heritage O.P., and many others. He appeared in Darker Faces of the Earth off Broadway and in Fela! on Broadway, scored music for Beatrice Capote’s solo piece Reyita, and performed his original drum compositions in The Public’s MERRY WIVES.
Yasmar Cruz was born in Puerto Rico and began her artistic training early in life. She is a published author and has written and directed plays at international theater festivals in New York, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. She is the director of Danzartes and received the 2021 Communitas Community Impact Award for the wellness initiative with BIPOC women during the pandemic. Yasmar holds a master’s degree in Dance Education from the City University of New York.
Flaco Navaja is a singer, poet, and actor. Backed by his super salsa band, he serves up old school South Bronx salsa vibes with spoken word and hip-hop in English and Spanish.
Kyle Driggs and Andrea Murillo specialize in a unique fusion of juggling, object manipulation, movement, and theatrical storytelling. Join them for a captivating performance that will leave you feeling lighter than air! Part of Parallel Exit.

Hula Nation founder Isamar Gonzalez brings together hula hooping, hatha yoga, and meditation within interactive workshops on HoopYogini™ dance. Since 2013, Hulu Nation has worked to empower children and families through art and movement workshops, participating in over 300 events and festivals through NYC and around the world.
