She has been a finalist for the National Book Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the PEN/Hemingway Award. Sarah Jones is a Tony and Obie Award-winning playwright and performer and the creator of the Broadway hit Bridge & Tunnel, a multi-character, one-person show produced by Meryl Streep. She got her start writing and competing in poetry slams at the Nuyorican Poets Café and is also known for her TED Talks, which have more than two million views. Jones is currently completing a new one-woman show called Sell/Buy/Date, which tackles issues of human trafficking and the commercial sex industry.
