The event will be moderated by Margaret Bodde, film producer and Executive Director of The Film Foundation, and will be followed by a book signing.

Bio

Kim Gordon

Kim Gordon is a musician, vocalist, visual artist, record producer, video director, fashion designer, and actress. She started out as a visual artist and rose to prominence as the bassist, guitarist, and vocalist of alternative rock band Sonic Youth, which she formed in 1981 with Thurston Moore. Gordon has also appeared in several films, including Gus Van Sant’s Last Days, and in episodes of the TV series Gossip Girl and Girls. In 2012, after the breakup of Sonic Youth, Gordon formed Body/Head with friend Bill Nace. Gordon lives in Northampton, New York, and Los Angeles.

Margaret Bodde

Margaret Bodde is the Emmy Award-winning producer of George Harrison: Living in the Material World (2011), directed by Martin Scorsese, and the producer of The 50 Year Argument (2014); Public Speaking (2010); the Grammy-winning documentary No Direction Home: Bob Dylan (2005); and the PBS series Martin Scorsese Presents the Blues. Bodde is also the executive director of the Film Foundation, a nonprofit organization created by Scorsese in 1990 which raises awareness and funds for film preservation.
