Walter Mosley is the author of more than 50 critically acclaimed books and the winner of numerous awards, including a Grammy and PEN America’s Lifetime Achievement Award. His iconic Easy Rawlins detective series celebrated its 25th anniversary this year with the publication of Charcoal Joe.
Lorin Stein is the editor of The Paris Review and an editor at large at Farrar, Straus and Giroux. He has worked with Lydia Davis, Jonathan Franzen, John Jeremiah Sullivan, and James Wood. His criticism has appeared in Harper's, London Review of Books, and The New York Review of Books, and his translation of Michel Houellebecq's Submission was published last year. Stein is a Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
