BAM and International Theater Amsterdam (formerly Toneelgroep Amsterdam) present Simon Stone’s (Yerma) contemporary rewrite of Euripides’ tragedy, featuring Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Rose Byrne (Damages, Bridesmaids, Get Him to the Greek) in the title role and two-time Emmy winner and Tony nominee Bobby Cannavale (The Motherfucker with the Hat, Vinyl, The Hairy Ape) as the husband who betrays her.

Originally staged by ITA in 2014, Medea went on to earn critical raves internationally: the Dutch De Volkskrant called the production “a monumental, ruthless portrait,” The Guardian praised it as “funny, clever and harrowing in equal measure” (★★★★★), France’s Le Figaro said it was “heartbreakingly mythical.”

BAM Members and Patrons will get first access to tickets when they go on sale (and BAM Patrons have access to premium orchestra seats).

Full details to be announced.
