Indulging in a "smorgasbord of sounds that keeps listeners in a diasporic daze" (Trace Magazine), Cuban singer-songwriter Jose Conde is a musical puzzle master, combining Afro-Latin and other genres with seamless—and danceable—sonic perfection. For Red Hot + Cuba, Conde is joined by his “Cuban roots world funk ensemble,” featuring Jorge Bringas on bass, Chris Stromquist on drums, and other standout players, for a retrospective look at his remarkable catalogue.
