A former member of the band Nouveau Riche, Nikki Jean is a formidable singer-songwriter with a sound imbued with Motown and Philly soul. She was part of the 2008 Glow in the Dark tour featuring Kanye West, Rihanna, and Lupe Fiasco (whose album The Cool features Jean as a guest vocalist), and appears at BAMcafé Live with tracks from her stylistically diverse solo debut, Pennies in a Jar.
