Life Along the Borderline: A Tribute to Nico
Curated by John Cale

For nearly 50 years, John Cale has thrived at the vanguard of a myriad of popular music styles, having founded the Velvet Underground, and collaborated with such artists as Patti Smith, John Cage, La Monte Young, LCD Soundsystem, Danger Mouse, and more. This January, he comes to BAM to present two special programs.

In Life Along the Borderline: A Tribute to Nico, Cale is joined by a roster of artists—including The Magnetic Fields, Kim Gordon, and Sharon Van Etten, among others—to celebrate the legendary singer-songwriter and Andy Warhol protégé Nico.

Greg Dulli (The Afghan Whigs, The Twilight Singers, The Gutter Twins)
Nick Franglen (Lemon Jelly, Blacksand)
Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth)
Joan as Police Woman
The Magnetic Fields
Mercury Rev
Alison Mosshart (The Kills)
