“Big band music like you’ve never heard… thoroughly immersed in modern sounds and sensibilities.”

Darcy James Argue’s 18-piece ensemble Secret Society (2011 Next Wave Festival) blends progressive jazz, early Americana, Balkan folk music, and indie rock into a genre-defying, era-shifting modern reinvention of the big band. The Grammy-nominated group takes the stage at BAMcafé in advance of its upcoming sophomore album, Brooklyn Babylon.
