“Layered atmospherics working in the service of dark, chugging beasts… Their debut LP A Constant Sea carries the weight of a psychological horror film, a slow, oppressive haunting that occasionally explodes into poltergeist terror.”
—Consequence of Sound

Brooklyn-based band Heliotropes cranks out sludgy stoner-rock anthems that draw on 60s psych and heavy metal. A dark morass of buzz-saw guitars, driving drums, and lead singer and guitarist Jessica Numsuwankijkul’s wailing, Heliotropes’ debut album, A Constant Sea, was heralded by Spin as a “sumptuous psych rock opus.”
