My Midnight Heart is the moniker of Brooklyn-based artist Angelica Allen, who crafts haunting, otherworldly soundscapes awash in synths and reverb-soaked vocals. Recently showcased at CMJ, My Midnight Heart’s lush arrangements bring to mind the adventurousness of Kate Bush and Bat for Lashes, but are set apart by Allen’s deeply personal, dreamlike imagery.
