In conjunction with BAM’s 27th Annual Brooklyn Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Black Rock Coalition Orchestra presents a two-night salute to Richie Havens, the hard-strumming folk-rock legend, Woodstock alum, and impassioned advocate for social change. Stew (Passing Strange), Maritri Garrett, Kelsey Warren (Pillow Theory), V. Jeffrey Smith (The Family Stand), Darrell McNeill, and others come together for this tribute of the luminous Havens, who celebrates his 72nd birthday on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
