Sophia Ramos cut her teeth as a member of the 90s metal-soul outfit Sophia’s Toy with a commanding, snarling stage presence. Named “Best Undiscovered Artist” by VH1, she has collaborated with the likes of Metallica’s Jason Newstead, Paul Simon, and Michelle Shocked. Her recent work includes soulful covers of classic boleros and Mexican ranchera music, which she debuts at BAMcafé Live.
