Led by renowned pianist and composer Emilio Teubal, this seven-piece outfit makes wondrously imaginative, dreamy jazz infused with Latin rhythms and folk music influences from Teubal’s native Argentina. Unique-to-jazz instruments like the cello, flugelhorn, and electric bass add dashes of unexpected color to Teubal’s beautifully melancholic, almost impressionistic melodies.
