The great Cuban diva and artistic ambassador celebrates her 85th birthday and 70th year of performing professionally with a grand fiesta through America’s greatest concert halls, representing the impressive sweep of her career. Joined by Cuban pianist Roberto Fonseca, clarinetist and saxophonist Anat Cohen, and violinist Regina Carter, Omara Portuondo takes audiences back to her younger years and continuing love of elegant cabaret, from the Buena Vista days and much-loved Cuban classics like "Besame Mucho" and "Veinte Años," up to the present. The result is sure to be a musical feast of an evening with different tastes and flavors, full of piquant sabrosura and reflecting the long journey of Portuondo's stellar career.
