Late Night Dance Party with DJ Greg Caz
- 10PM
Keep the DanceAfrica celebration going after hours with DJ Greg Caz, who brings his legendary mixes of vintage Brazilian beats and veteran expertise in funk, soul, rock, jazz, and hip-hop stylings to the dance floor of BAMcafé.
Greg Caz has been plying his funky trade in countless venues around the city and the world for the better part of 25 years. Knowledgeable in a staggering array of genres and musical cultures, he has made perhaps his greatest mark shining a light on lesser-known realms of vintage Brazilian music. His years of familiarity with funk, soul, rock, jazz, reggae, hip-hop, and all the subgenres in-between speak for themselves and quickly become apparent upon hearing him play. In addition to performing, he has collaborated on a number of compilations and archival releases for which he has chosen tracks and written liner notes.
