Voices From the Front Lines
Veterans and civilians engage in conversations exploring the nature of war in the 21st century.
Veterans, military families, civilians, and philosophers come together for this multi-event look at life on, and beyond, the military’s front lines. Intended to bridge the gap in understanding between the experiences of servicemen and servicewomen on the ground and civilians miles away, Voices From the Front Lines puts dialogue at the center of the conversation about the evolving nature of war in the 21st century.

The StoryCorps Military Voices Initiative helps bridge the gap in understanding between military families and civilians. It provides a platform for post-9/11 veterans, service members, and their families to share their stories with the public through monthly broadcasts on NPR. These short films honor their voices and experiences.
