Spring 2021
From Prospect Park to the Brooklyn Navy Yard to your home, BAM’s spring season brings world-class art to you.
BAM’s new season—an innovative mix of live outdoor programming and virtual events—is all about bringing live arts back to Brooklyn, and bringing Brooklyn’s creative spirit to the world. Safety is our number one priority as we offer a lineup of outdoor, site-specific, socially distant events in Prospect Park, Brooklyn Borough Hall, the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and Fort Greene, transforming street corners and skating rinks into intimate stages for world-class art. At the same time, we’re presenting virtual adaptations of iconic programs—such as Eat, Drink & Be Literary and DanceAfrica—to allow audience members everywhere a contact-free way to dive deep into works by leading artists.
At the heart of this season is a deep gratitude for our community of artists, audience members, and neighbors. You kept us going through a truly challenging time—and it’s not over. We’re meeting this spring with new ideas and a lot of flexibility, knowing that events may be modified as safety recommendations and reopening guidelines evolve. We’ll keep you posted on any adjustments via email and social media, and we thank you for joining us in this uncharted territory.
This new season invites us all to connect with one another, whether we’re seeking new experiences, catching work by a favorite artist, or enjoying how live performance transforms a familiar place. We hope you’ll join us to celebrate the power of art—on stages, screens, streets, and any other way we can imagine it—to lift us up and bring us together.
Thank you to our season supporters
BAM is committed to making our programming—both virtual and in person—welcoming and accessible to all patrons. Visit BAM's Accessibility page or contact us at accessibility@BAM.org with any questions, suggestions, or for additional information.
