“A modern platform for brave new visions.” –The New York Times

"The most crystal-clear, gigantic movie screen ever brought to Brooklyn”–Interview

This summer, a movie palace is reborn. The BAM Harvey Theater—the sandblasted ruin that has seen the likes of Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellan, and hundreds of other luminaries on its stage—will be a big-screen destination again for the first time since the 1960s. The theater features state-of-the-art digital projection and sound, the brand-new Steinberg Screen, and over 700 seats, making it the largest and most atmospheric movie theater in Brooklyn.

In June and July, enjoy three programs that bring out the grandeur in this magnificent venue: the fifth annual BAMcinemaFest, which brings the best of new American independent cinema along with special guests and live music; the Hitchcock 9, a monumental series of the Master of Suspense's surviving silent films with live orchestral scores; and Big Screen Epics, a showcase of Hollywood at its spectacular best.
