Swan Lake/Loch na hEala
Teac Damsa
Written, directed, and choreographed by Michael Keegan-Dolan

BAM DEBUT

One of Ireland’s most imaginative theater makers deconstructs the beloved classic for our modern age. Michael Keegan-Dolan and his company Teac Damsa transport audiences to a magical realist otherworld of light and dark, ecstasy and catharsis, pain and reconciliation.

Following a rapturous reception in Dublin and around the world, this Swan Lake takes root where ancient Irish mythology and modern Ireland collide, featuring gorgeous production and costume design and a contemporary score combining Nordic and Irish folk music.

Set design by Sabine Dargent
Costume design by Hyemi Shin
Lighting design by Adam Silverman
Music by Slow Moving Clouds

Co-production by Michael Keegan-Dolan; Sadler’s Wells Theatre London; Colours International Dance Festival, Theaterhaus Stuttgart; Dublin Theatre Festival and Theatre de la Ville, Luxembourg.

Presented with support from Culture Ireland and First Derivatives, in association with Irish Arts Center
