The 57th US Presidential Inauguration takes place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and BAM will simulcast portions of President Barack Obama’s ceremony following remarks and performances in the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, enabling audiences to witness and share this historic occasion as part of the day’s events at BAM. (Additional seating will be provided, as necessary, in the BAM Rose Cinemas).

The Presidential Inauguration will be held in Washington, DC with the theme of “Faith in America’s Future,” commemorating the United States’ perseverance and unity, marking the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and the placement of the Statue of Freedom atop the Capitol Dome in 1863.
