With Declan Donnellan in conversation with James Shapiro
Declan Donnellan, co-founder and co-artistic director of Cheek by Jowl, made his BAM debut in 1994 with As You Like It, and has since returned with six Shakespeare works, including this season’s The Winter’s Tale, among other seminal theater productions. Using materials from the BAM Hamm Archives, Donnellan and renowned Shakespeare scholar James Shapiro reflect on his company’s extraordinary presence at BAM over the years.
