The beloved storytelling series returns to BAM with Eye of the Storm. Five storytellers—regular This American Life contributor Elna Baker, 16-year old Journey Jamison, film director and writer Beth de Araújo, comedian Kevin Yee, and more—each share a personal true tale from their life without notes, which lends an immediacy and intimacy to the evening. Writer, performer, teacher and “storytelling guru” Kate Teller hosts.

The Moth celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, having presented thousands of stories to standing-room-only crowds since its launch in 1997. The series received a 2012 John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation MacArthur Award. The podcast is downloaded over 40 million times a year and the Peabody Award-winning show The Moth Radio Hour, produced by Jay Allison and presented by PRX, the Public Radio Exchange, airs weekly on over 450 radio stations nationwide.
