This group exhibition, Loss For Words, spans multiple spaces across BAM’s campus and examines the shift from a culture that communicates with text-based language to one where the image is the dominant tool of communication.

Sara Greenberger Rafferty employs the tactics and tools of advertising in a photo-installation adorning the doorways and arches of the Dorothy W. Levitt Lobby. Responding to the architecture’s theatricality, she creates a visual syntax from commercial stock imagery of eyes, dresses, shirts, and hats.
