New York-based artist Christopher K. Ho presents a meditation on first love in a sprawling, site-specific carpet installation across the Dorothy Levitt Lobby. The carpet’s undulating and repetitive pattern references digital gradients and heart emojis. In Dear John, the nature of digital space—its absence of gravity, sun, and horizon—is analogous to the experience of falling in, and perhaps out of, love.
