Brooklyn-based visual artist Rachel Owens participates in the 10th Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennial, in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, as part of TransCultural Express, a partnership between BAM and the Mikhail Prokhorov Fund intended to foster cross-cultural dialogue between American and Russian artists and audiences. Owens has shown at the Austrian Cultural Forum, Socrates Sculpture Park, the New Museum Window, Apex Art, and other national and international venues. Owens’ monumental outdoor installation “Inveterate Composition for Clare,” which was originally at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, is currently at the Frist Center for the Arts in Nashville through 2014. Owens is represented by Ziehersmith Gallery, where she has had four solo exhibitions.
