CURRICULUM CONNECTIONS: Social Studies/History (African history and culture)
America’s largest festival of African dance turns 40 this year, and the celebrations will offer students an unparalleled look at the cultural traditions of Africa and the African diaspora. Transform your students’ understanding of rhythm, music, and dance and get them moving to the beat of culture at this yearly tradition that has become a fixture in the Brooklyn community.
Individual orders are limited to 250 students maximum. If you would like to bring multiple groups beyond 250, please submit the reservation form for each group beyond that number.
This event is currently sold out, but don’t despair.
Additional seats regularly become available (due to cancellations) and will be offered to schools on the waitlist on a first come, first-served basis up until two weeks before the show.
