Behind the Curtain

Grades 9—12

    Part of
  • After-School Programs
BAM is proud to announce Behind the Curtain, a new podcast series created by bright, talented, and culturally engaged young adults who have previously participated in BAM EDU programs like Word. Sound. Power., Brooklyn Interns for Arts and Culture, and Creative Career Collective. Featuring in-depth conversations with artists and collaborators, this podcast goes deep with the artists and performances onstage at BAM, revealing and exploring the cultural ideas, historical roots, and creative risks that give each work its meaning.

Behind the Curtain is now streaming everywhere you listen to podcasts!

BEHIND THE CURTAIN…

• Invites artists to step out of performance and into conversation
• Goes deep and gets close to creators, performers, and their processes
• Moves beyond performance to actually demystify the creative world
• Evokes a space where artists can speak candidly and authentically
• Extends past any particular medium into the cultural ideas and context that shape art
