- Part of
- Kisapmata + Batch ‘81 and
- BAM Film 2025
Directed by Mike De Leon (1982)
With
Mark Gil, Sandy Andolong, Ward Luarca
Pre-med student Sid finds himself drawn away from his studies and toward the uniformed swagger of fascistic fraternity Alpha Kappa Omega. But to be initiated, he and the latest batch of neophytes must withstand shocking torture and humiliation, and compete against AKO’s rivals: the anarchist Sigma Omicron Sigma. Drawing clear inspiration from Alex and his droogs in A Clockwork Orange, master filmmaker Mike De Leon finds collegiate Greek life as a vivid allegory for the Philippines under martial law.
