Timed to coincide with a run of his latest feature, 7 Walks with Mark Brown (co-directed by his partner and frequent collaborator, the sculptor Vincent Barré), we are thrilled to welcome Pierre Creton for his first US retrospective. Creton, a farmer and filmmaker based in Normandy, has spent the last two decades quietly creating a profound body of work. Particularly attuned to the rhythms of nature and rural life, but shot through with humor and erotic queer desire (last year's A Prince was called “perfect” by John Waters), these hypnotic films are a rare treat to see on the big screen.
